About the Company

I was given the Opportunity to design an e-commerce website for sunrise cabinets.

Founded in 2016, Sunrise Cabinets is a family-run company that specializes in wholesale cabinets. They have a long history of success in the wholesale market because of their dedication to providing high-quality products at competitive prices, cutting-edge distribution, and first-rate customer service. At the moment, they exclusively offer their goods through physical stores; as a result, we may work together to develop a website.

Our objective

With a strong emphasis on simplicity, they aim to provide customers with all the information and resources they require on the website, simulating an experience that is similar to being in a physical store.

Since word-of-mouth is the only way that their business is promoted, they wanted the website to concentrate on drawing in more business and providing clients with a convenient way to get in touch with the store for any questions.

Their secondary goals are to keep their inventory of cabinets up to date on a regular basis and to showcase their best-selling cabinets in the most clean and navigable layouts.

main features

After talking with the owner, we decided on a few essential components to add in order to streamline the customer's trip.

  • "Finding the Perfect Cabinet" Quiz
Customers can narrow down their search for the exact product they are looking for by taking this quiz, which will be the first thing they see when they visit the website. This is meant to replicate the experience of a customer asking staff members what they exactly need when they first come into the store, and the staff members providing that information to help the client select the ideal product. In addition, customers have the opportunity to just stroll around the store and look at every thing that looks close to what they would like to buy.
  • Live Chat Support
The live chat option on the website will always be open to provide clients with immediate assistance. In this method, consumers may ask any questions they may have of the staff and, just as they would receive assistance if they were in the actual store, they would receive a response in a matter of minutes.
  • Essential Product Details
It is crucial that every product on the website communicates vital characteristics about the product, including availability and shipping options. The customer will have access to all information that can be typically offered by staff or seen in person through the website, enabling them to have all the information they require before deciding whether or not to buy the product.
competitive analysis

by contrasting related websites, I was able to gather further  inspiration for my design.

I conducted a comparative analysis of the websites of other local businesses in the same industry to pinpoint what elements of their sites are effective and what needs improvement. Using the knowledge these websites have offered, I can implement the good features and focus on the areas that need improvement in my own designs.

navigation flow

I established a simple user flow and an Informative architecture that the client could readily grasp.

User Flow:
The user flow illustrates how users will engage with the website and make product selections.

Informative Architecture:
This illustrates the structure of the website, with each product page mirroring the others.

initial sketches

I sketched a straightforward diagram showing the customer's path from the home page to the product page.

low fidelity wireframes

I Opted for a minimalistic and user-friendly design for the website to enhance customer experience. Focus on a clean layout, easy navigation, and quick loading speed to ensure a seamless browsing experience.

Step one: Home Page
Step two: product inventory
Step three: product page
Step four: shopping cart
Step five: checkout
step six: purchase confirmation
moodboard

In keeping with the company's sunrise theme, I set out a warm, welcoming website with a color scheme that reflects the sunrise.

final key elements

we want to be able to Implement high-quality images and videos showcasing the cabinet products on the website.

Since visuals play a crucial role in online sales, we need to showcase different angles, features, and benefits of the cabinet products and how it would look in customer’s space.

Furthermore, we want to leverage user-generated content. We wish to encourage customers to share photos and reviews of their cabinets on social media and repost this content on our website to build trust and credibility.

high fidelity final design

I finalized the design concept for the main navigation flow from the main page to the procedure of checking out.
